Dear Friend

As we all know, one of the things lacking in our society is that of Leadership and Success Principles.  Leadership is something that can benefit any person with where ever they are at in their lives.  I am a high school business / computer teacher and basketball coach.  Over the last 7 plus years I've been doing a lot of work at becoming a better leader.  I've been trying to work with students and adults to help them see their potential in this very important area.

We Have Only 1 Shot in Life

If you are like me and many others - you are probably wondering what this is all about.  You are probably a little bit interested in becoming better in many areas of your life.  We all wear many "hats" in our lives.  Some of mine are:  father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, neighbor, teacher, coach, Christian, friend, mentor, golfer, etc.   Life is something that we only get one shot at and we need to keep working towards improvement in all of our "hat" areas.  I know we have all had to many examples happen in our lives to show us that we don't have all the time in the world to figure this out.  The time is now.  I know I've wasted a lot of mine over the years and now it's time to make some serious changes.  I'm interested in trying to help you change your mindset about these things.... Let's talk.

Don't Play Small in Life

I know a little bit about where you are right now.  You are wondering what can you do to make these changes.  You must realize the affect that we have on others.  I want to help you realize what you are able to do, what you were meant to do.  I have some great people helping me and I want to turn around and help you.  People you know, and many you don't know are simply waiting for someone to reach out and help them.  That helper for them, that life-changer, can be you.  As a good friend has told me- "You can't keep playing small in life... someone needs you."

Time for Action!

In all the years of teaching, I've worked very hard at being the best I can be.  Since working with some great people that were working on the same thing in their lives, my teaching career has gone in a whole new direction.  In 2006, I was chosen as Teacher of the Year at my high school.  That would have never happened without the changes I started to work on a few years before that.  With that came the ideas I am finally starting to act upon now.  First, I knew I had to make some changes to impact as many of my students as possible.  Second, I finally got the guts to start putting things into action.  I came up with a new course called "Principles of Leadership".  It's a high school senior only class.  It's meant to share, through many different examples and methods - leadership and success principles that will help our students and everyone they come in contact with.  Great things are happening, but it's not me.... I'm just the messenger to some great information.  Truth be told, the class has helped me more than my students in many spects I think.  My students have urged me to go after these goals and dreams.  They are repeating quotes and sayings from our course to me.  That is why I really want to start putting together to share with you, no matter who you are or how old you are.  I've told many of my students that I'm going to do it.  I have seen first hand on how this information can help people.
